Who runs this survey

You're answering a survey created by an Albi customer (the business named on the survey's welcome screen, or "the researcher"). Albi Agents, Inc. provides the survey software and processes your answers for that researcher. The researcher decides what is asked and uses the results. Albi follows their instructions under a data processing agreement.

If you joined through Prolific, Prolific handles your participant account, payment and profile under its own privacy policy. Albi never receives your name, email or payment details from Prolific.

What we collect

  • Your panel ID (for example your Prolific ID), so your answers can be matched to your payment and checked for duplicates. We do not receive your name or contact details.
  • Your answers, including any eligibility questions at the start.
  • How you took the survey: timing, which questions you were shown, and quality signals (for example answering very fast, or giving the same answer to every question). These are used to check answers are genuine.
  • Your browser stores a small note on your device (in its local storage, not a tracking cookie) so you can resume where you left off and aren't asked to take the survey twice.

We don't store your IP address with your answers. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies on the survey page. The survey shouldn't ask for your name, contact details, or sensitive information such as health, religion or ethnicity. Please don't include them in free-text answers.

What it's used for

  • To give the researcher the results of their pricing study, mostly as aggregated statistics (for example the price range most respondents find acceptable).
  • To check answer quality, and to confirm completion to the panel so you get paid.
  • Your answers are not used to market to you, are not sold, and are not used to train AI models.

Legal basis: the researcher's legitimate interest in market research. Where the law requires consent, your consent (you can stop at any time by closing the survey).

AI

Albi uses AI models from Anthropic to help summarize results, for example grouping open-text answers into themes. Your answers may be sent to Anthropic for that purpose. Anthropic does not use them to train its models.

Who sees it

  • The researcher who ran the study.
  • Albi's service providers, under contract: Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI analysis).
  • The panel (for example Prolific) receives your completion status and quality outcome, not your answers.

Data may be processed in the United States. Where the law requires, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Your panel ID (for example your Prolific ID), and details of how you took the survey: kept until 120 days after the study closes, then removed. This is long enough to confirm your payment and handle any queries.
  • Your answers: kept for up to 12 months after the study closes, without your panel ID, then deleted. They are deleted sooner if the researcher deletes the study.
  • If you didn't finish the survey, or weren't eligible, your answers are deleted 120 days after the study closes.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your answers, or object to their use. The quickest route:

  • If you came from Prolific: message the researcher through Prolific, quoting the study.
  • Or email hello@albiagents.com with your panel ID and roughly when you took the survey. We will pass the request to the researcher and help them carry it out within 30 days.

You can also complain to your data protection authority.
