Pricing

Priced the way we'd tell you to price.

Every engagement is scoped to the company in front of us — what's in scope, how deep the evidence goes, and how long we run it. Charging by the seat would be easier to put on a page and worse advice than the kind we give.

We're taking on a small number of engagements at a time. A scoping call is the honest way to find out whether this is one of them.

What sets the price

Three things, and none of them is headcount.

Scope

How much of the pricing question is in play. A competitive benchmark on its own. A willingness-to-pay study on its own. Or the whole line — your book, the market, what customers will pay, the value model, the priced design, and what it does to every customer you already have.

Depth of evidence

Synthetic respondents give a first read on willingness-to-pay; a real human panel settles arguments and costs more. The same choice applies to how many competitors we reconstruct and how far back their pricing goes.

Duration

A single engagement ends with a proposal you approve or don't. A standing mandate keeps a pricing expert on your account after that — watching the market and your own numbers, and bringing you the next move when there is one.

What you get

A pricing move, and the evidence you'd need to defend it.

  • A pricing proposal — the recommended move, the price points, and the segments it applies to
  • The evidence under it: competitive position, willingness-to-pay, the value model, and the per-customer impact on your own book
  • Approval stays with you. Nothing reaches your billing system until you say so
Who does the work

A senior pricing expert, on your data.

Albi's software is how the work gets done: your book modelled, the competitive set assembled with its sources, willingness-to-pay simulated, the design priced and projected onto the customers you already bill. The judgment, the proposal, and the conversation where it gets approved are a person's.

Today that person is the founder — a pricing operator most recently at Simon-Kucher. As engagements come, senior operators join the bench behind him.

FAQ

The questions we actually get

Why isn't there a price on this page?

Because a benchmark on one competitive set and a full repricing of a multi-country product line are not the same job, and pretending otherwise would be a worse answer than this one. Tell us what you sell and how you bill, and you get a scoped number on the call.

What's the smallest thing you'll take on?

One module. A competitive benchmark, or a willingness-to-pay study, scoped to a single offering. Companies often start there and widen once they've seen the evidence.

Can I buy the software and run it myself?

Not today. Albi is delivered — a pricing expert does the work on your data and brings you the proposal. The software is how that work gets done, not a product you operate.

Do I need to be on Stripe?

It's the shortest path in — a read-only sync of your customers, subscriptions and invoices. A CSV or Excel export of the same works, and that's how most first engagements start.

What happens to my data?

It is read. Albi does not write to your billing system unless you explicitly approve a change and ask us to provision it. Credentials are encrypted per project and each engagement is isolated. See the Security overview.

Who is this for?

The person who owns monetization at a B2B software or AI company — founder, CRO, CFO, or Head of Product or Pricing. Usually someone who already suspects their pricing is wrong and wants the evidence before they move it.

Tell us what you sell and how you bill.

A scoping call gets you the shape of the engagement and a number. We take on a small number at a time.
